Our Story
Hi, I'm Mia Fusco — the founder of Sewickley Valley Sitters. I never imagined I'd be a babysitter, let alone running a business. But when I was just 14 and a freshman in high school, I started SVS with a small group of five local sitters.
What began as a neighborhood side gig has grown into something I'm truly proud of: a team of 40+ dedicated sitters who have worked with over 260 families right here in the Sewickley area.
To keep the business growing the right way, I partnered with the tech startup Ringlet to build a dedicated app for SVS — so families can connect with our sitters more seamlessly than ever.

What We Offer
With 40+ sitters of varying experience and specialties, we can accommodate a wide range of needs — from a quick errand run to a full day out.
We have sitters experienced with children from 10 months and up — gentle, attentive, and great at keeping the littlest ones happy and safe.
Our sitters are comfortable with children of all ages up to 13 — outdoor play, creative activities, and engaged companionship for every stage.
No minimum hours required. We've done jobs as short as 45 minutes and as long as 8 hours. We work around your schedule.
Larger families are no problem. Sitter rates reflect family size, and we'll match you with someone experienced managing multiple children at once.

Rates are set individually by each sitter based on their experience and the specifics of the job. The ranges below are a general guide.
Typically for newer sitters or smaller families
Need someone for just 45 minutes while you run errands? No problem. SVS has no minimum time requirement on any booking.
Typically for experienced sitters or larger families
All rates are ultimately determined by the individual sitter. The $15–$20/hr range reflects our typical going rates across the team.
